The fare to use the Roxbury Coach was 25 cents. Lyman Low relates that the coaches carried 16 to 20 persons each way and were drawn by four horses. They were handsomely painted, and each bore a distinguishing name on its side. REGULATOR, CONQUEROR and AURORA were given as examples, the latter having a scene of a goddess in a cloud-bone chariot painted on its yellow sides.
